Course Description :

AIM The trainees will be able to maintain the MAN B&W ME engine safely and contribute effectively to the operation of same. They will learn the basics of engine operation and maintenance.

Course Objective:

At the end of the course, the candidates will be able to have better understanding of ME-C engine

• Introduction to ME Engine
• ME Concept
• ME Engine operation
• Hydraulic Power Supply System, filter unit and operation
• Familiarization of Main Operating System- MOP
• Hydraulic Cylinder Unit (HCU) Operation
• ME Fuel oil system - Pressure Booster Operation
• ME Exhaust valve system
• Multi-Purpose Controller
• ME PMI & ECS display
• ME Tacho

Entry Standards:

CE ,1 AE ,2 AE & 3 AE and additionally if they should have sailed on vessel with MC Engine for better understanding
