About Us

Dockendale is a global ship management services provider with a rich legacy built on trust and integrity. Headquartered in the vibrant city of Dubai with additional offices in India and the Philippines, we manage a diverse fleet of over 60 vessels under our technical management ranging from handysize to capesize. Our technical team has decades of experience and manages every vessel, project, or task meticulously to ensure operational excellence.

Recognising the evolving needs of the maritime industry and how we can add value as Dockendale, our journey has allowed us to expand our portfolio to include vessels like container ships, oil and chemical tankers, car carriers, and cutting-edge newbuilding projects. We’re particularly excited to have recently established a joint venture focusing exclusively on managing methanol-powered vessels as ship owners and operators increasingly invest in a greener pathway towards a more sustainable maritime future.

We are accredited with ISO 9001 (quality management) and ISO 14001 (environmental management), and we make certain that our operations adhere to the highest industry requirements of compliance, transparency, and performance. Our people form the very backbone of our organisation and comprise more than 2,000 dedicated seafarers and over 100 onshore colleagues.

From ship to shore, our people are more than a representation of our human capital, they are the architects of our success and the reason why we can stand by our reputation in the industry with a great sense of collective pride. Integrity serves as the bedrock of our business, influencing every decision and partnership. We want our customers to navigate alongside us with confidence, knowing that as a trusted ship management partner, every action we take is rooted in a commitment to excellence and high ethical business practices.

As Dockendale moves into the third-party ship management market, we are investing in digitisation, corporate strategy, infrastructure, and training centres. This strategic approach aims to address the evolving and increasingly complex regulatory industry landscape and the unique needs of our customers and partners who are at different milestones of their respective sustainability journey.

Our holistic approach to sustainability encompasses the health and well-being of our people, our dedication to safety, and our strong commitment to managing our environmental impact. We believe this positions us as more than just a ship management services provider—but as stewards of a responsible and sustainable maritime future.

Our History Our History

A name with heritage

NAVIGATING SEAS SINCE 1973

The origins of Dockendale trace back to the 1950s when our visionary founder, Mr. George Campbell, then residing in Japan, made significant contributions to the maritime landscape by designing and constructing the iconic vessels aptly named Mark I, Mark II Freedom, and Friendship.

These vessels, crafted at the renowned Ishikawajima Shipyard in Tokyo, showcased Mr. Campbell's innate talent, and laid the foundation for Dockendale's enduring legacy of innovation. In fact, the very name Dockendale hails from Mr. Campbell’s family home in the United Kingdom, adding a historic and personal touch to our company's early roots and identity.

Our longstanding affiliation with MUR Group, a leading logistics and freight services provider, solidifies our reputation as a trusted partner for all maritime endeavors. This enduring partnership is the cornerstone of our identity. MUR's global fleet, receiving full technical support from Dockendale, efficiently transports diverse cargoes across six continents for 300+ clients along 24 core trade routes.

Embracing core values that prioritise individual well-being and fleet excellence, MUR sets a standard that Dockendale continues to uphold. As a proud member of the Macsteel Group , MUR prioritises ethical business and environmental sustainability—values seamlessly embraced by Dockendale. As a responsible ship manager, Dockendale intertwines trust and integrity into the very fabric of existence. Our shared history with MUR Group is a testament to our collective journey, where each chapter is marked by a commitment to excellence and a profound sense of responsibility.
